The Sign in Sidney Brustein’s Window actor Grant James Varjas was recently invited to take over the Instagram account for Backstage, an online website dedicated to providing career advice and casting news to actors.

Varjas plays David, a gay playwright and neighbor of Sidney and Iris Brustein. It’s often said that Lorraine Hansberry modeled the character on her contemporary Edward Albee.

Check out how Varjas spent last Thursday—a two show day PLUS an afternoon honoring Lorraine Hansberry for what would have been her 86th birthday. See The Sign in Sidney Brustein’s Window now through June 5 only! Learn more at GoodmanTheatre.org/TheSign.

The cast of #TheSignCHI leads us in singing Happy Birthday to #LorraineHansberry!
